Speech Improvement Resources
The Elevator
Sunday, 30 January 2011 00:08

Have you included a communication goal in your 2011 business plan? If not, an important goal to focus on would be to improve your "elevator speech". Even if you feel comfortable with your current 30 second delivery, there is always a need to change it up and have a minimum of three different elevator speeches at the ready for various situations. Many cringe at the thought of having to deliver a descrption of there business at a networking event. This, by far, is the most important 30 second business marketing opportunity there is. The success or failure of these speeches can make or break your business. When given the opportunity to deliver your elevator speech, make it clear, concise and relevent. After you have worked on your 30 second speech, you will be surprised how fun it can be to spotlight your business.

"The two words "information" and "communication" are often used interchangeably, but they signify quite different things.  Information is giving out; communication is getting through."
